Ten Things I Am Grateful For
For God’s mighty miracles astound me! His wonders are so delightfully mysterious that they leave all who seek them astonished.”
Have you ever written a gratitude list?
I bet you’ve kept a grudge list! I know I stand guilty of that at times!
Moving on, I brought up the importance of developing a gratitude list after fellowship with some brothers in a faith-based recovery meeting last night. We have no problem as human beings curating a daily grudge list. So why not create a gratitude list instead?
There are 16 verses in the Bible where we are encouraged to pray prayers of thanksgiving (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Psalm 103:1-4, Colossians 2:6-7, James 1:17, Hebrews 12:28, Psalm 95:1-5, Isaiah 12:4-5, Philippians 4:4-7, Psalm 118:24, Colossians 3:15-17, 1 Chronicles 29:13, Ephesians 5:18-20, Psalm 107:1-3, Hebrews 13:15, Psalm 119:1-8, 2 Corinthians 9:15).
I've read them all today. Jesus emphasized prayers of thanksgiving more so than prayers of petition. I’m no genius, but it seems like something we as believers need to pay attention to!
I am thankful for:
Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting.”James (Jacob) 4:8 TPT
I’ve discovered the value of doing this when I am feeling down and out. Sometimes my attitude sucks. Sometimes my actions suck. I don’t think anyone likes to stay stuck in the problem when the solution is made known to them. Gratitude changes your attitude.
If it works for me, perhaps it will work for you!

I send my love.
